As the process of reshaping the Jets roster<\/a> continues; the biggest day of the year has arrived.\u00a0 The Jets now own two selections in the 1st round (9 and 13) and Jet Nation is on pins and needles.\u00a0 Will they go all in to fix the offense?\u00a0 Will they get a pass rusher and some offensive help?\u00a0 We will find out soon enough.<\/p>\n

Mike Mayock has released his final mock draft on NFL.com<\/a> and he has the Jets going with:<\/p>\n

#9 Dion Jordan – Oregon<\/strong><\/p>\n

The most explosive 3-4 outside linebacker in this draft is Dion Jordan. I think down the road, he could be Aldon Smith. I think he could be Jason Taylor. If he puts on 20 pounds, he could be DeMarcus Ware. He’s got everything you want; he just needs 20 pounds and some seasoning.<\/p>\n

#13 Tyler Eifert\u00a0 TE Notre Dame<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now we’re going to prop up Mark Sanchez a little bit. In today’s NFL, this kid matches up with everything that you want in a vertical tight end: At 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, he’s a nightmare for a linebacker or a safety.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those are certainly two of the biggest needs that the Jets have right now.\u00a0 If they filled those holes then they would only have to worry about running back and quarterback (sarcasm).\u00a0 We will have plenty of time to discuss the players that the Jets select.\u00a0 John Idzik will certainly be graded on what he does tonight and this weekend in the other rounds.\u00a0 For now though, it is time to sit back and hope for the best.\u00a0 Along those lines, there are plenty of NFL draft parties for those that are interested.\u00a0 For those that are interested you can try putting bets on an NFL games<\/a>.\u00a0 Or if you don’t want to bet, just sit back and enjoy the games.<\/p>\n

Season Ticket Holders<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The team will host a Draft Party exclusively for Season Ticket Holders, which will be held at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, April 25. In addition to watching the first round of the Draft live on the four in-stadium video boards, attendees will enjoy autographs from Jets players \u2013 those scheduled to appear include Quinton Coples, Kenrick Ellis, Stephen Hill, Muhammad Wilkerson and Kyle Wilson.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Houlihan’s<\/strong><\/p>\n

The team is partnering with local Houlihan\u2019s establishments throughout the NJ and NY area to encourage Jets fans to meet up with other fans to experience Round One of the Draft on Thursday night.\u00a0 The Hasbrouck Heights location in NJ (5 Route 17 South) and Farmingdale location on Long Island (923 Broad Hollow Road) will serve as the featured restaurants and will have appearances by Jets Alumni and Flight Crew Cheerleaders beginning at 6:00 p.m.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

uStadium’s NFL Draft Event<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Held at Stout Lounge for a fantastic-filled evening as the 2013 NFL Draft picks are announced.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be partying with some very special guests \u2013 think professional NFL athletes. NY Jets DL Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples, starting LB Demario Davis, NY Giants starting CB Prince Amukamara and former Jets OL Damien Woody and CB Donald Strickland will all be there to party with you!\u00a0Don’t miss the opportunity to kickoff the 2013 football season in style. Fans, athletes, and friends, doors open at 7pm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Family Fun Day (Saturday)<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, April 27 from Noon to 4:00 p.m. the team will welcome all fans to the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, NJ for Jets Draft Family Fun Day.\u00a0 Jets fans and families can watch the remainder of the 2013 NFL Draft and meet Flight Crew cheerleaders, have the opportunity to get player autographs \u2013 including scheduled appearances by Kenrick Ellis, Muhammad Wilkerson and Kyle Wilson \u2013 and have the chance to tour the players\u2019 locker room.\u00a0 Kids can also enjoy Jets Fest, an interactive team playground.\u00a0 Admission and parking is open to the public and is free, however signup is required at newyorkjets.com<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
