href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/new-york\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/8910115\/new-york-jets-cut-tim-tebow-march-12-sources\">Adam Schefter<\/a> the New York Jets will keep <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/player\/timtebow\/497135\/profile\">Tim Tebow<\/a> on the roster after the 2013 NFL league year begins on March 12<sup>th<\/sup> in hopes of trading the quarterback:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe New York Jets do not plan to release quarterback Tim Tebow before the start of the new league year in March and instead will hold on to him with the hopes that they can trade him, according to league sources.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is difficult to see how Tebow remains on the Jets roster with the hiring of new coordinator <a title=\"Jets Hire Marty Mornhinweg As New OC\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2013\/01\/18\/jets-hire-mornhinweg-as-new-offensive-coordinator\/\">Marty Mornhinweg<\/a> and his pass heavy offense.\u00a0 Tebow had a 46.5 completion percentage in 11 starts with the Denver Broncos during the 2011 season.\u00a0 Traded to the Jets in March Tebow accounted for 141 yards of offense this past year.<\/p>\n<p>It was believed the cash strapped Jets would release <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/03\/25\/tim-tebows-contract-details\/\">Tebow saving over $1 million<\/a> on this year\u2019s salary cap but the team is holding out hope someone will be interested in trading for the seldom used backup.<\/p>\n<p>The Jets could always release Tebow at a later date, if no trading partner is found, as a likely landing spot the Jacksonville Jaguars vanished when new general manager <a title=\"What NY Jets Owner Johnson Can Learn From Jaguars Owner Khan\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2013\/01\/14\/what-ny-jets-owner-johnson-can-learn-from-jaguars-owner-khan\/\">David Caldwell<\/a> said the Jaguars would not pursue Tebow in any
