League source.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mortreport\/status\/293136407009054721?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 20, 2013<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Lee has spent time in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.\u00a0 In 2008 Lee was named \u201cInnovator of the Year\u201d by the Sporting News for the work he did on the Wildcat with the Dolphins.\u00a0 Ex-Jets offensive coordinator Tony Sparano was unable to get the read option to be an effective option here.\u00a0 It will be interesting to see what new <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2013\/01\/18\/jets-hire-mornhinweg-as-new-offensive-coordinator\/\">Offensive Coordinator Marty\u00a0Mornhinweg<\/a>\u00a0and Lee have in mind for the Jets offense next season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Task number one for the duo will be the assessment of Mark Sanchez.\u00a0 There has been a lot of talk about bringing in a new QB, but the Jets are limited in what they can do because of <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2013\/01\/17\/salary-cap-expert-joel-corry-discusses-the-ny-jets-finances\/\">salary cap restraints<\/a>.\u00a0 This report by <a href=\"http:\/\/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com\/2013\/01\/20\/jets-unlikely-to-add-michael-vick-may-target-tarvaris-jackson\/\">NBC Sports<\/a> has a list of low cost possibilities.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Still, the Jets do want someone who can compete with Sanchez. So who might that be? Schefter says new Jets G.M. John Idzik has always been a believer in Tarvaris Jackson, who was the Seahawks\u2019 starter in 2011 while Idzik was Seattle\u2019s V.P. of football administration.
