{"id":16809,"date":"2012-12-05T09:58:23","date_gmt":"2012-12-05T13:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=16809"},"modified":"2012-12-05T11:58:29","modified_gmt":"2012-12-05T15:58:29","slug":"sanchez-to-start-against-jacksonville","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/12\/05\/sanchez-to-start-against-jacksonville\/","title":{"rendered":"Sanchez To Start Against Jacksonville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After much speculation as to who would be the starting Jets quarterback this week it is being <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rotoworld.com\/player\/nfl\/5192\/mark-sanchez\">reported<\/a> the team has chosen Mark Sanchez to start the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>An ineffective Sanchez was <a title=\"Jets Top Cardinals; 7-6\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/12\/02\/jets-top-cardinals-7-6\/\">pulled<\/a> late in last week\u2019s game versus the Arizona Cardinals in favor of the game-day backup Greg McElroy, who led the team to a win.\u00a0 McElroy\u2019s performance sparked a debate as to whether he should start this week and it was also reported while coach Rex Ryan, offensive coach Tony Sparano and general manager Mike Tannenbaum wanted Sanchez owner Woody Johnson preferred McElroy.<\/p>\n<p>Sanchez was given a contract <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/03\/10\/jets-take-easy-road-in-sanchez-contract-renegotiation\/\">extension<\/a> in March which included a guaranteed salary for 2013 and the feeling is this might be driving the decision to return Sanchez as a starter.<\/p>\n<p>Jets fans are sounding off in our <a href=\"http:\/\/forums.jetnation.com\/topic\/108662-schefter-sanchez-playing\/\">New York Jets message board<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After much speculation as to who would be the starting Jets quarterback this week it is being reported the team has chosen Mark Sanchez to start the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
