{"id":16312,"date":"2012-11-13T19:29:05","date_gmt":"2012-11-13T23:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=16312"},"modified":"2012-11-13T19:29:05","modified_gmt":"2012-11-13T23:29:05","slug":"jets-sign-rb-bell-cut-olb-maybin-place-trufant-on-ir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/11\/13\/jets-sign-rb-bell-cut-olb-maybin-place-trufant-on-ir\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets Sign RB Bell, Cut OLB Maybin, &amp; Place Trufant On IR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Jets have made a couple of moves today in signing ex-Bear <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/player\/kahlilbell\/80630\/profile\" target=\"_blank\">Kahlil Bell<\/a>, cutting dead weight OLB <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/player\/aaronmaybin\/80433\/profile\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Maybin<\/a>, and placing DB <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/player\/isaiahtrufant\/2527631\/profile\" target=\"_blank\">Isaiah Trufant<\/a> on IR.<\/p>\n<p>Bell comes over from the Bears where in 2012 he played 2 games where he got 32 yards on 12 carries along with 1 catch for 11 yards. Bell was not that impressive for the Bears in his 4 years with the team getting 589 yards on 131 carries for no touchdowns. He has 1 career touchdown receiving by scoring on a 25 yard pass play in 2011. Bell beat out ex-Dolphin &amp; Texan Steve Slaton for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Maybin who lead the team in 2011 with 6 sacks has regressed in 2012 and ended up being cut for it. In 2012, Maybin has 1 tackle which he got in the loss against the 49ers. It looked like Maybin had some potential after the 2011 season, but it seems he couldn&#8217;t back-up the trash talking he did earlier in the season. Such a disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>Trufant goes on IR after suffering a knee injury against the Seahawks which is a shame as he had an increased role on the team in 2012 getting 16 tackles and 2 pass defends in 9 games compared to his 8 tackles in 13 games in 2011.
