{"id":1573,"date":"2008-09-17T14:58:21","date_gmt":"2008-09-17T19:58:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=1573"},"modified":"2008-09-17T14:58:21","modified_gmt":"2008-09-17T19:58:21","slug":"jetnation-top-10-%e2%80%93-week-tw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2008\/09\/17\/jetnation-top-10-%e2%80%93-week-tw\/","title":{"rendered":"Jetnation Top 10 \u2013 Week Two"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/graphics\/Articles\/headers\/top10.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"115\" \/><strong>By Nick Ferraro<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 Dallas Cowboys<\/strong><br \/>\nIt wasn\u2019t a stellar showing on defense, but the Cowboys got by a tough division opponent.\u00a0 They can step out in front in the NFC this week by beating the Packers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 New York Giants<\/strong><br \/>\nThe defending champs have yet to be challenged.\u00a0 They figure to get by easily again Sunday against the reeling Bengals.\u00a0 There are no real tests for the G-men until late next month when they play Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Philadelphia in consecutive weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 New England Patriots<\/strong><br \/>\nI guess there are some good players in New England besides Tommy Boy.\u00a0 I\u2019m not running to pick up Matt Cassel for my fantasy team, but he appears to have enough to win most weeks given the talent around him.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think we\u2019ll be talking about a perfect season again though.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0 Pittsburgh Steelers<\/strong><br \/>\nUgly wins are still wins.\u00a0 The Steelers have a tight grip on the AFC North early in the season.\u00a0 Ben\u2019s shoulder is a concern.\u00a0 There are no Matt Cassels on this roster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Green Bay Packers<\/strong><br \/>\nThis might be the most underrated of the 2-0 teams.\u00a0 Aaron Rogers will only get better.\u00a0 He faces the Cowboys this week in the toughest test of his career thus far.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.\u00a0 Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong><br \/>\nI\u2019m keeping the Eagles right where they were last week despite the loss.\u00a0 The defense was embarrassed, but this is a solid team that played it close on the road against the top team in the league.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.\u00a0 Carolina Panthers<\/strong><br \/>\nI thought things would be easier for the Panthers at home against the Bears.\u00a0 The offensively challenged Bears moved the ball fairly well, which is a troubling sign.\u00a0 On offense, this team really misses Steve Smith.\u00a0 If they can somehow be 4-0 or 3-1 when he returns, it will be a huge lift for Carolina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.\u00a0 Indianapolis Colts<\/strong><br \/>\nA road win is nice, but there are issues facing the Colts.\u00a0 They appear to have slipped back to the pack this season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.\u00a0 Tennessee Titans<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Titans are a better team with Kerry Collins playing quarterback.\u00a0 The defense is not a question.\u00a0 If Collins makes a few plays in the passing game, this team can play with anyone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Arizona Cardinals<\/strong><br \/>\nThe news out of the desert is that the Cardinals defense is only allowing 11.5 points per game.\u00a0 Sure, the 49ers and Dolphins are punchless, but teams like that found their stride in the past by playing Arizona.\u00a0 The Cards don\u2019t need a lot of defense to win.\u00a0 They seem to have enough to complement the high-powered offense.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bottom Five<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>28.\u00a0 Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Raiders shouldn\u2019t beat you in your building.\u00a0 The Chiefs may go 0-6 against the AFC West.\u00a0 That will ensure them a top-five pick in the 2009 draft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>29. Cincinnati Bengals<\/strong><br \/>\nThings are bad in Cincy.\u00a0 Marvin Lewis will be feeling the heat after they lose to the Giants Sunday.\u00a0 There should be more success on offense given the talent level.\u00a0 Does Chad get the trade he wanted when they fall out of the playoff chase?<\/p>\n<p><strong>30. Miami Dolphins<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Dolphins figure to go 0-8 on the road.\u00a0 The Pats welcome the Dolphins to New England this week.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll need to juggle this ranking much for next week\u2019s Bottom Five.<\/p>\n<p><strong>31. Detroit Lions<\/strong><br \/>\nThey made a nice run to get ahead of the Pack.\u00a0 That was washed away as they allowed 24 points in the last five minutes of the game.\u00a0 The Lions might be the most frustrating team to root for in the NFL<\/p>\n<p><strong>32.
