That person spoke on the condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speak for the Jets or Clowney. During the game, the Jets announced Clowney had a shoulder injury. Clowney, who was hurt in the third quarter on a 14-yard catch, is scheduled to undergo further tests Sunday. Clowney, who has eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns this preseason, has emerged as the surprise of training camp and the speedy deep threat the Jets have been searching for. Last week, the former Packer draft pick had four catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns (70 and 71 yards) vs. the Browns. He had four catches for 59 yards before being injured vs. the Redskins. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/200...llar_bone.html">reporting that WR David Clowney will be out several weeks due to his injured shoulder. Clowney, who has been a very pleasant surprise this training camp, was injured in the preseason game against the Washington Redskins.

Clowney had a break out game last week against the Browns. When a young receiver has 4 receptions for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns, people start remembering your name. Last night he was having another good game with another 4 receptions for 59 yards.

JetNation has been following Clowney throughout camp, here is a blurb that was reported on 08/09 by Brian Clark:

David Clowney continues to impress, and is just doing well. Getting alot of balls thrown his way because he is running good routes. On one play, a reverse, he took it to the outside after a good seal block by the right tackle, then due to a great block by Wallace Wright who took out 2 guys with one tackle, gave Clowney the sideline for a long touchdown run. Last year’s 5th round pick of Green Bay is definitely trying to take advantage of his chance here.

Jets fans are discussing David Clowney here.

Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star Ledger is reporting that WR David Clowney will be out several weeks due to his injured shoulder. Clowney, who has been a very pleasant surprise this training camp, was injured in the preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
