Baker is having a MRI on Monday morning to confirm the diagnosis.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Source: Manish Metha \/ NY Daily News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Baker was looking to have an increased role with the offense this season as he was capable of playing in the backfield or up close to the line, the h-back position.\u00a0 The Jets will be searching other team\u2019s cuts to add depth as they are thin at TE and FB.\u00a0 The Jets even <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10000872396390444443504577603892398057540.html\">started using<\/a> LB Nick Bellore at the FB spot during portions of practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE:\u00a0<\/strong> The Jets have waived\/injured Baker so once he<a title=\"NFL Roster Cut-Down Dates And Changes In Roster Rules\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/08\/09\/nfl-roster-cut-down-dates-and-changes-in-roster-rules\/\"> clears waivers<\/a> Baker will be put on season ending reserved\/injured (IR).<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Baker&#39;s agent RT <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HowardShatsky?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HowardShatsky<\/a><br \/>Jets waiving-injured TE Josh Baker.
