Woody Johnson stated that he was excited to welcome Brett and his family to the Jets.\u00a0 (Loosely translated that means, Brett thank you for coming to the Jets shortly before our PSL announcement).<\/p>\n

Chris Mortenson reported on ESPN that the trade is for a 4th round draft pick.\u00a0 He said if the Jets make the Super Bowl it can escalate to a 1st rounder.\u00a0 There are other incentives that can increase the pick to a 2nd or 3rd rounder.\u00a0 The NFL Network says if Brett plays 80% of the snaps and the Jets play in the Super Bowl it will be a 1st rounder.\u00a0 70% of the snaps and playoffs?\u00a0 Well, that would be a 3rd rounder.\u00a0 With 50% of the snaps costing a 3rd rounder.<\/p>\n

It has been quite the off-season for the NY Jets.\u00a0 The franchise is committed to improving this team, they showed that in free agency.\u00a0 By bringing in a QB of Brett Favre’s caliber, Woody, Mangini and company are determined to retire the phrase, “Same old Jets”.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see how the Vegas odds<\/a> react to these moves and how people’s Jets predictions<\/a> will turn out.<\/p>\n
