The Jets announced that they have signed Tarren Lloyd, an UDFA out of Utah State.\u00a0 Lloyd is listed at 6’7″ and 258lbs and is well known for his ability to block rather than catch passes.\u00a0 As a tight end for a formidable offensive and a blocker for one of the NCAA’s best\u00a0small school running backs in Robert Turbin, Lloyd made a name for himself creating movement in the running game and understanding how to position himself to get the best leverage.<\/p>\n
He is a little slender and will need to get stronger.\u00a0 He can be an average pass catcher, as well.\u00a0 Lloyd will compete with Brian Linthicum, and Hayden Smith in camp.\u00a0 With the move, the Jets are now at 91 players when the maximum at this time is 90.\u00a0 Look for them to cut someone in the next few days to make room for Lloyd.<\/p>\n
