Special Teams coach <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/JetsWiki\/index.php\/Westhoff%2C_Mike\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Westhoff<\/a> won&#8217;t coach in 2008. He is scheduled to have surgery on his leg in February. Although he hasn&#8217;t officially retired, he definitely won&#8217;t coach in 2008. Mike Westhoff is one of the best Special Teams coaches in <!--more-->the game. He has done wonders for the Jets since joining the staff in 2001. We here at JetNation wish Mr. Westhoff a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Secondary coach, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/JetsWiki\/index.php\/Macintyre%2C_Mike\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike MacIntyre<\/a> has accepted the job at Duke to be their defensive coordinator. No replacements have been named.<\/p>\n<p>One other <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forums.jetnation.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rumor<\/a> out there is that Rob Ryan has been fired by the Raiders and hired by the Jets in the same capacity.
