The announcement was made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canfield (G\/6-5\/307\/Cincinnati\/Cincinnati, OH)<\/strong> initially joined the Jets during training camp (08\/04\/11) and was signed to a reserve\/future contract (01\/20\/12). He spent time on the Jets practice squad in 2011 before being released (09\/04\/11).
