Now that the NFL has announced compensatory picks there is a clear picture of where the Jets will be choosing in this year’s draft.\u00a0 The team was recently awarded\u00a0four additional picks\u00a0<\/a>under NFL\u00a0compensation rules but these four picks may not be traded under any circumstances.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There are a total of 253 picks in this year\u2019s draft, 221 regular and 32 compensatory.\u00a0Three teams have forfeited a pick for various reasons:\u00a0 New Orleans was penalized their second round pick <\/a>#59 for \u2018Bounty-gate\u2019, Oakland used their third round pick <\/a>#78 in the 2011 supplemental draft on QB Terrelle Pryor and Detroit forfeited their sixth round pick <\/a>#192 for violating NFL tampering <\/a>rules.<\/p>\n

The Jets now have the following ten picks:<\/h2>\n
