{"id":11743,"date":"2012-03-28T11:51:55","date_gmt":"2012-03-28T15:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=11743"},"modified":"2012-03-28T15:25:35","modified_gmt":"2012-03-28T19:25:35","slug":"jets-2012-draft-picks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/03\/28\/jets-2012-draft-picks\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets 2012 Draft Picks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that the NFL has announced compensatory picks there is a clear picture of where the Jets will be choosing in this year&#8217;s draft.\u00a0 The team was recently awarded<a title=\"Jets Receive Four Additional Picks In This Year\u2019s Draft\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2012\/03\/27\/jets-receive-four-additional-picks-in-this-years-draft\/\">\u00a0four additional picks\u00a0<\/a>under NFL\u00a0compensation rules but these four picks may not be traded under any circumstances.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are a total of 253 picks in this year\u2019s draft, 221 regular and 32 compensatory.\u00a0Three teams have forfeited a pick for various reasons:\u00a0 New Orleans was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/03\/21\/saints-bounty-suspensions-sean-payton_n_1370231.html\">penalized their second round pick <\/a>#59 for \u2018Bounty-gate\u2019, Oakland used their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/sports\/redskins\/raiders-more-than-double-draft-haul-with-3-compensatory-picks\/2012\/03\/26\/gIQAZtqncS_story.html\">third round pick <\/a>#78 in the 2011 supplemental draft on QB Terrelle Pryor and Detroit forfeited their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlive.com\/lions\/index.ssf\/2011\/03\/detroit_lions_win_tampering_ca.html\">sixth round pick <\/a>#192 for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aolnews.com\/2011\/02\/20\/lions-tampering-with-chiefs-lose-draft-pick\/\">violating NFL tampering <\/a>rules.<\/p>\n<h2>The Jets now have the following ten picks:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Round \/ Total\u00a0pick # \/ (Pick # in round<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p>1 &#8211;
