The announcements were made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Folk (K\/6-1\/222\/Arizona\/Hollywood, CA)<\/strong> has connected on three game-winning field goals in his two seasons with the Jets, the most recent occurring in the 2011 season opener against (9\/11), a 50-yard kick with 32 seconds remaining that lifted the Jets to a 27-24 victory.\u00a0 In 2011 Folk was successful on 18-of-24 field goals and all 42 PAT attempts.<\/p>\n<p>Folk originally joined the Jets in 2010 as a free agent after three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Over two seasons with the club, he has made 48-of-63 field goals and all 79 PAT attempts. Selected in the sixth round (178<sup>th<\/sup> overall) of the 2007 NFL draft by Dallas, Folk earned a trip to the Pro Bowl after connecting on 26-of-31 field goals and all 53 PAT attempts. For his career, Folk has converted 112-of-144 field goals and all 210 PAT attempts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campbell (WR\/6-2\/205\/Temple\/Edison, NJ)<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>initially<strong> <\/strong>signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent (07\/27\/11) and spent part of the season with the club as a member of the practice squad.\u00a0 Campbell played in 43 career games (19 starts) at Temple, totaling 1,253 yards and 83 receptions. As a senior, he led the team with 724 receiving yards on 45 receptions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexander (6-2\/209\/Boise State\/Rancho Cucamonga, CA)<\/strong> was signed by the Jets (12\/13\/11) after he was waived by the Miami Dolphins (11\/01\/11).\u00a0 He saw playing time against the Eagles (12\/18) and was inactive against the Giants (12\/24) and the Dolphins (1\/1).\u00a0 During the 2010 season, he spent time with Carolina, Jacksonville and Detroit.\u00a0 Originally selected by the Lions in the second round (61<sup>st<\/sup> overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft, Alexander spent two seasons in Detroit, starting 17-of-21 games and recording 65 tackles, two interceptions and two sacks before being placed on injured reserve (10\/13\/08).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New York Jets have re-signed unrestricted free agent K Nick Folk, waived WR Michael Campbell and released S Gerald Alexander.
