After having strong physical measurements, he raised some red flags, when deciding not to participate in any of the agility portion of the combine, for no particular reason. This brings up questions about his speed and overall athletic abilities. Jeffery will have to run well at ‘pro-day’ workouts if he hopes to make the first round.

Juron Criner (Arizona) – Ran a rather disappointing 4.68 forty yard time and has certainly moved down some with this poor showing. Was looking like a second round lock but now third or fourth very possible.

Michael Floyd (Notre Dame) – At six feet three inches, 220 pounds, he has good size for a receiver and ran a respectable 4.47 forty time. Floyd probably needed to do a little more to guarantee a pick in the first round but didn’t hurt his chances either.

Stephen Hill (Georgia Tech) – Physical measurements, six feet four inches, 215 pounds are impressive but his athleticism really highlights his potential. His forty time of 4.36, fastest among receivers, along with posting a (39 ½”) total in the vertical jump, has sent his stock upwards. Hill is an athletic deep threat and good blocker but a raw route runner, while in the first round discussion, this area of weakness may push him into round two.

Tommy Streeter (Miami) – Has attributes similar to Hill. Streeter, six feet five inches, 219 pounds, ran a quick 4.40 in the forty yard dash. One weakness would be a (33”) result in the vertical jump, which means less ability to elevate for ‘jump balls’. Already a tall receiver showing the speed to get separation at the next level has helped Streeter’s value. A big ‘red-zone’ target who can stretch the field is an asset to any team. While not a first rounder, needs to improve his over-all abilities, it is hard to see someone with such potential slipping past the third round.

Running Backs:

Isaiah Pead (Cincinnati) – Posted a 4.41 forty time which will help given his measurements are not the greatest. He does certainly posses some great athletic talent could be a late round bargain.

Lamar Miller (Miami) – Has helped his chances of being the next running back taken after Trent Richardson. Miller, five feet eleven inches, 212 pounds ran a blistering 4.38 forty today. He can also catch the ball out of the backfield and return kick-offs. Given these results there is a good chance Miller is a number one pick.

Robert Turbin (Utah State) – Widely considered a late round pick, Turbin decided to forgo his senior year at Utah State to enter the draft. His physical measurements are solid, five feet ten inches, 222 pounds. He was able to complete 28 repetitions on the bench press and ran a fast 4.44 forty time. Turbin is not a household name but might be increasing his status after this combine performance.

Offensive Linemen:

David DeCastro (Stanford) – Seemed to have solidified his spot as a first round pick. At about six feet five inches and 316 pounds he showed good strength with 34 repetitions on the bench press along with a quality forty time, for a guard, of 5.36 seconds. DeCastro just did everything well, fluid and athletic. He has an excellent chance of being one of the top 15 picks.

Here’s some current and follow up analysis from the NFL combine: Wide Receivers: Alshon Jeffery (South Carolina) –
