On Victor Cruz calling out Darrelle Revis\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019d call out a lot more guys\u2014that list would be a lot longer before I would get to Revis. But you know what? That\u2019s good. That\u2019s a competitor. You want to face the best and you\u2019re certainly going to face the best when you face Darrelle Revis.<\/p>\n

On Revis performance this season\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s been an amazing season. It\u2019s easy to call out a guy. You know you\u2019re playing most of the game he has no help. I mean, zero help. That\u2019s okay, it\u2019s good background. But he really does. He almost has zero help a lot of times. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s ever been done. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s ever done. Has he given up a couple of completions? Yeah. And the funny thing is, we\u2019ve talked before, I mean, we\u2019re surprised. It\u2019s like, \u201cOh, he gave up an eight-yard route. What is going on with Revis?\u201d These kids now that are playing receiver are talented guys in this league. That\u2019s why I always said if I ever went back to college, even I\u2019d get out of the ground and pound deal because it\u2019s a heck of a lot easier to recruit receivers than it is someone that can cover them, even though there\u2019s a shutdown corner in Summit, who made All-County Second Team. Just throwing it out there for all of you recruiters (joking reference to his son, Seth).<\/p>\n

On whether Cruz\u2019s comments were more about calling out of Revis or trying to make a name for himself\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Those guys are pretty good receivers. I just think you want to compete against the very best and that\u2019s the way I\u2019m sure they feel as well.<\/p>\n

On whether he likes it when teams go after Revis\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Okay, go ahead. You\u2019re exactly right. Of course you do. And the funny thing is you know it\u2019s a bad situation. You put your player in a bad situation, yet I still like my chances when it\u2019s Darrelle Revis.<\/p>\n

On whether he has funneled the defense away from Revis more so this season\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah. Absolutely, I mean a ridiculous amount, but will it be that way this week? I don\u2019t know, but probably a pretty good chance. They know what\u2019s out there, we know what\u2019s out there. And they\u2019re going to take shots. Eli (Manning) throws a back shoulder fade as well as any quarterback in the league and that\u2019s really hard to stop, because if you\u2019re behind I,t he can throw it on top of you.
