{"id":10165,"date":"2011-12-18T23:55:25","date_gmt":"2011-12-19T03:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=10165"},"modified":"2011-12-18T23:56:54","modified_gmt":"2011-12-19T03:56:54","slug":"eagles-45-ny-jets-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2011\/12\/18\/eagles-45-ny-jets-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Eagles 45 &#8211; NY Jets 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The final score says it all and after a beating like that the only thing the Jets can do is be thankful their playoff hopes are still alive.\u00a0 The Jets still control their own destiny after losses by the Titans and Raiders.\u00a0 A complete game recap courtesy of the Associated Press appears below, but first some quick thoughts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Santonio Holmes had several costly miscues early in the 1st quarter; a fumble that was returned for a TD and a Mark Sanchez pass slipped through his hands and was intercepted.\u00a0 Physical mistakes happen and when you have a Super Bowl MVP on your resume you will get the benefit of the doubt more often than not.\u00a0 What is not excusable is a taunting penalty after a TD catch when your team is losing.\u00a0 Act like you have been there before, this saying seems to be something Santonio Holmes is a bit unclear on&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Wayne Hunter is not the answer at Right Tackle.\u00a0 Unfortunately Vladimir Ducasse is not the answer right now either.\u00a0 The waiver wire sounds good right about now, the Jets should be checking for veteran help immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p>PHILADELPHIA &#8212; LeSean McCoy ran for three touchdowns to set two team records, and the Philadelphia Eagles routed the New York Jets 45-19 on Sunday to stay in the NFC East race.<\/p>\n<p>The  Eagles (6-8) have won two in a row for just the second time this season  and somehow still have a chance to repeat as NFC East champions despite  underachieving most of the year.
