The Jets take on the Atlanta Falcons at the Meadowlands tonight, Friday 08\/10\/07 at 7pm (CBS).\u00c2\u00a0 It is the start of the preseason so the numer one goal is to stay healthy.\u00c2\u00a0 The outcome of the game isn’t important.<\/p>\n

For the Falcons the biggest question mark is at QB.\u00c2\u00a0 Michael Vick’s status is still up in the air.\u00c2\u00a0 They are counting on Joey Harrington to get the job for them and learn coach.\u00c2\u00a0 Head coach Bobby Petrino makes his debut after leaving Louisville.<\/p>\n

It is still early in camp but for the Jets here are some things worth watching:<\/p>\n

1.\u00c2\u00a0 Left Guard<\/strong> – Can the Jets survive without Pete Kendall.\u00c2\u00a0 Kendall is still on the roster but hasn’t gotten as many reps as he would like. Adrien Clarke can hurt Pete’s contract negotiations with a good game.<\/p>\n

2.\u00c2\u00a0 Darrelle Revis<\/strong>.\u00c2\u00a0 Well we can’t watch him because he is at home waiting for a five year contract deal.\u00c2\u00a0 The Jets insist on six years.\u00c2\u00a0 While we all wait for that to be resolved, will another CB step up and claim the starting spot along side Andre Dyson?\u00c2\u00a0 Or will Revis gain more leverage.\u00c2\u00a0 One thing we know is that Revis is losing valuable camp time and pre-season game experience.\u00c2\u00a0 So with every passing day the chances of Revis really stepping in and helping this team this year are decreasing.<\/p>\n

3.\u00c2\u00a0 Can Andre Wadsworth make this team?<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0 JetNation.com broke the story<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0about Andre before he was signed and it is\u00c2\u00a0a story straight out of Hollywood.\u00c2\u00a0 We would be lying if we said we weren’t pulling for him.\u00c2\u00a0 It will be nice to see Andre on the field and\u00c2\u00a0by all accounts his body is holding up well.\u00c2\u00a0 The question now is can he make the transition from DE to LB?<\/p>\n

4.\u00c2\u00a0 Can Brad Smith play QB<\/strong>?\u00c2\u00a0 He is fast and\u00c2\u00a0he is exciting.\u00c2\u00a0 The Jets have to evaluate if the Jets can win if Brad Smith was\u00c2\u00a0the QB of this team.\u00c2\u00a0 Coming out of college there were questions about his accuracy.\u00c2\u00a0 Last year he played WR and went in motion to the backfield often.\u00c2\u00a0 He was a standout on special teams as well.\u00c2\u00a0 Definitely worth watching him tonight to check in on his progress at QB.<\/p>\n

5.\u00c2\u00a0 Parking<\/strong> – With Xanadu,\u00c2\u00a0the new stadium and the construction of a new rail line there are approximately 5,000 less parking spots available.\u00c2\u00a0 You will only be allowed into the stadium with your car if you have a prepaid parking pass.\u00c2\u00a0 Otherwise you have to park at a remote lot (Lyndhurst) and you will be shuttled in.\u00c2\u00a0 At the Live Earth concert there were lines of up to one hour waiting for the buses.\u00c2\u00a0 We are told that there are many more buses\u00c2\u00a0will be available for football games.\u00c2\u00a0 We certainly hope that is the case because they are not allowing tailgating at the remote sites.\u00c2\u00a0 So if fans\u00c2\u00a0are standing in line waiting for an hour, they won’t be happy.\u00c2\u00a0 Either way the parking lot attendants will have their hands full.<\/p>\n
